Stumpwork Day 1

I started off with this postcard of the painting Dancer by Renoir.

 

Then I enlarged the image by tracing it and photocopying by about 30%.

Here I have cut out the shape of the girls top ready to be coroneted.

To do this I drew around the tracing on a plastic circle.

I then sewed a piece of embroidery thread, with separate thread, around. It doesn't matter on the colour as it will be removed later. 

I managed to start filling in the shape. I hope to complete this tomorrow.

I also traced this piece ready for some stretchy skin coloured cotton to be placed on.
