Zoe Squire

Zoe is a freelance Costume and Set Designer and Co-Director and company designer of Pins and Needles Productions.

Zoe graduated from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 2008 with a postgraduate qualification in Set and Costume design.

She has worked both thoughout the UK and parts of Europe, working under practitioners such as Ralph Koltai and Sir Jonathan Miller in a variety of different theatres. Alongside designing  Zoe has a wide range of experience making props and set for The Crucible, West Yorkshire Playhouse and Warp Films.

Zoe has designed for a range of spaces and companies around the UK and Europe. Her work has been shown in nationwide theatres such as The Bristol Old Vic Theatre, The Crucible Theatre, Sheffield, The Lowry and Trestle. Some of Zoe’s design  credits include the Uk Tour of Ernest and the Pale Moon, A Month in the Country, A Clockwork Orange, James and the Giant Peach, The Witches and Beasts and Beauties.

Film and TV work includes: Alexnder Wolfe’s music video for ‘Stuck Under September’. Art department for Fantastic Mr Fox Animation, Three Mills Studio and feature film Hush, Warpx Films. Production designer on Crews, Christchurch Studios. She has also designed for main stream commercials.

Zoe is a member of the Young Vic’s Genesis Designers’ Project and was recently selected as a designer to represent the UK in 2009 The Next Generation Programme at the Augbik Mal Festival of Theatre in Berlin.
